Overview

Since becoming Fashion Director at The Cut Magazine Jess Willis has taken the magazine from strength to strength – styling icons across film, music and fashion such as Julianne Moore, Kacey Musgraves and Naomi Campbell and collaborating with prestigious photographers including Campbell Addy and Nadia Lee Cohen. She has carved her own unique path at the magazine by creating the much loved ‘Jess Edit’, styling  herself monthly in the season’s newest trends; A beautiful series of images demonstrating her immense versatility as both an artist and talent.

Previously, Jess has worked in costume design and behind the scenes in the music industry, both of which have greatly informed her approach to styling editorial and commercial campaigns.

Jess has visualised and styled looks for many culturally significant moments in the industry: including Solange’s album When I Get Home, the editorial They Invented the Supermodel for The Cut as well as Kendrick Lamar’s music videos for ‘Not like Us’ and ‘Squabble Up’.

In addition to this, Jess has styled covers for W Magazine, The Cut, WSJ as well as stories for numerous international Vogue editions. She has also styled campaigns for brands including Estée Lauder, Calvin Klein, Apple, Jill Sander and Tiffany & Co.
